Is It Possible to Eat Too Much Fiber?
It’s not nearly as controversial or dramatic as other nutrients like sugar or fat, but fiber has slowly become trendy and something consumers look for when shopping. And food manufacturers know this, and regularly add extra fiber during processing to boost the number of the food label. In fact, I noticed a wrap that I regularly buy has 11 grams, and I estimated that about 7 to 9 of those grams were added.
Most of us could use a little boost to get closer to daily fiber recommendations, but what if you’re consuming a wrap (or two) like this along with fruits, vegetables, legumes and whole grains.
Is it possible to get too much fiber?
